The Bank of England in 2009. This was during the protests about the collapsed banks being bailed out by the government. A Police horse had shit on the pavement outside the Bank of England.
There was a lot of Graffiti written on the walls of the bank that day including the words in capital letters "THE GOVERNMENT LIES, THE BANKS STEAL, THE RICH LAUGHS"
2009: In his April Budget, Chancellor Alistair Darling forecast the biggest deficit in UK financial history - £175bn - the difference between the government's annual income and its outgoings. The IFS warned of "two parliaments of pain" following "breathtaking" damage to the economy from the financial crisis.
Out of this financial mess, the idea for Bitcoin was born.
